PATH OF LIGHT
The work represents a wall of water, a waterfall.
The work “Path of Light – The eight fountains” is located in Capri in a district of Via Vittorio Emanuele n. 50, under an arch that continues with a corridor, extension of the White Room gallery, a few meters away.
The work is included in the first edition of the Capri Island of Art, an open air exhibition – strongly supported by Franco Senesi, cultural entrepreneur of Capri – which involves more than 20 artists of contemporary, national and international, invited to dialogue with the places and the stories of the island.
The video art installation “Path of Light – the eight fountains” comprises two large windows that run for almost five meters long each. The work represents a wall of water, a waterfall. A blue night that lights the white arch and delineates a space of pure light, a waterfall that comes, in truth, from a set of pixels, that it has in fact nothing real, but in fact celebrates nature.
The work consists of large screens, one hundred meters of electrical cables and code pages that form the moving image. The video installation is interactive, the passage and the movement of people, in front of the work, will change the flow of water, such as occurs in the water of a fountain tickled by the curious fingers of one hand. The interaction in the video installation has a crucial role, it helps to create a direct contact with the viewer.
In the evening the blue light is a destination for young people photographing themselves embraced, celebrating the space as a union between nature and urban.
Children are enhanced by the tunnel of light and their joy also involves their parents, sharing together space and emotions.
